WHO revises air pollution guidelines: Festive season, a wake-up call for states? | The Urban Debate
In this episode of The Urban Debate, with Avni Raja, we discuss the air pollution guidelines revised by WHO after 16 years. WHO guidelines recommend new air quality levels to protect the health of populations, by reducing levels of key air pollutants, some of which also contribute to climate change. Air pollution rules have been made more stringent by the WHO. India is the third most polluted nation in Asia. As per new WHO rules, 95% of India is polluted. Air quality is set to worsen with stubble burning and crackers. Watch the video as we experts discuss with Avni Raja the possible solutions for decreasing pollution in the cities.
