The Indian Railway is one of the largest rail networks on earth and requires a big number or manpower for smooth operations. The Indian Railway is surviving with the lack of the manpower due to the retirement of the employees and other reasons.
This year, the Railway has decided to fulfill around 90000 Vacant posts of Assistant Loco Pilot and Group D (now known as Level 1 Posts). The online application process has been completed till the date. As per the data released by the railway, 2.37 Crore applications have received by the regional RRB Boards in combined.
The board has scrutinized those applications and given chance to the candidates to update their photographs and Signature.

Update: RRB alp exam date is 9 August 2018. RRB ALP Admit card can be downloaded from 5 August 2018.
RRB Application Status & Reject List & RRB Exam Date
The RRB Application Status was released on 11 July while the Photograph modification link got activated on 18 July 2018. The candidates who didn’t upload a valid photograph are given a chance to rectify the general error/mistakes.

|About RRB Exam: The Recruitment Board is initiating RRB Group D & ALP Exam this year. The notice for this exam has been released earlier in 2018. As we know, the Online Application submission has already been organized by the board in Feb and March.|

Actually, Railway is going to conduct the largest online exam of the history. More than 2 crore candidates will take part in the exam.
As the number is big, managing exam centres and allotting unique roll numbers will take time. To keep the Recruitment transparent, the Railway has given the responsibility of holding the exam to the Regional RRBs.
RRB Exam Date 2018: More or Less, the exam will not take place before September. And in this way, the candidates are getting more time for the Exam Preparations.

RRB Admit Card 2018- Railway Group D & Loco Pilot Exam
Once the RRB exam date is announced according to the Regional RRBs, The RRB Admit Card will be available to download from the official website. All of the Zones will provide the RRB Admit Card Download link at their official website.
The Admit Card or A Hall Ticket is necessary to be downloaded. The candidates should be aware that the boards won’t send the Admit Card by Post to their address. Therefore, they should visit the cafe and download and take print of the same properly.
General Instructions Regarding RRB Exam Admit Card
As we already have mentioned, the candidates must download the Admit Card Online. There will not be any other mean used by the RRBs to commute the Admit Card.
Also, the candidates should make sure that they have downloaded the Railway Group D Admit Card & RRB ALP Admit Card properly and everything printed is correct. If you find any discrepancy, you must connect to the concern RRB.
The candidates are advised to bring the Online printed RRB Level 1 Admit Card to the Examination Hall. YourAdmit Card/ Hall Ticket will have important information printed.

Railway RRB CBT Exam Pattern Assistant Loco Pilot/ Technician & Group D Exam
The CBT Exam for Assistant Loco Pilot will be held in 2 phases. At first, the 1st stage Exam will take place.
First Stage CBT (Common for ALP/Technician)
- Duration: 60 Min
- No of Questions: 75
Minimum percentage of marks for eligibility in various categories : UR -40%, OBC-30%, SC-30%, ST -25%. These
percentage of marks for eligibility may be relaxed by 2% for PWD candidates in case of shortage of PWD candidates against vacancies reserved for them.
Second Stage CBT
Shortlisting of Candidates for the Second Stage CBT exam shall be based on the normalized marks obtained by them in the First Stage CBT Exam.
The total number of candidates to be shortlisted for the second stage shall be 15 times the community wise total vacancy of ALP and Technician Posts notified against the RRB as per their merit in First Stage CBT. However, Railways reserve the right to increase/decrease this limit in total or for any specific trade(s) as required to ensure availability of adequate candidates for all the notified posts.
